Ahmad AlKhaled - CEO: Prior to his tenure at Senyar Capital, Mr. Ahmad held the title of Assistant General Manager at Al-Mal Investment Company for about three years. Prior to joining Al-Mal he was an investment consultant in the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development for thirteen years where he headed the Alternative Investment Department overseeing a diversified portfolio of hedge fund, private equity , and real estate with a value in excess of $2 billion. In addition to his responsibilities at the Kuwait Fund, he contributed to the management of the Organizations main portfolio of $10 billion across global equity, fixed income, and cash. Mr. Ahmad is currently, or was, a member of the Board Directors of several listed and unlisted companies in the United states and in other continents. Mr. Ahmad has a degree in Computer Engineering from California State University.
Rana AlEssa (MA) - CFO / COO: Prior to her tenure at Senyar Capital, Ms. Rana held the title of Senior Risk Manager at Al-Mal Investment Company for about three years. Prior to joining Al-Mal she worked for ten years at the Kuwait Fund for Arabic and Economic Development as the Deputy head of Investment Accounting within the Investment department team where she worked with the External portfolio, Alternative Investments and Private Equity Funds. Prior to that she worked for eight years in Programming and Developing Financial software for banks and investment companies. Ms. Rana Obtained her Undergraduate and Graduated degree from Webster University (Geneva).
Mohammad Ramadhan, CFA,FRM,CAIA,PMP,MBA - Vice President - Research: Prior to his tenure at Senyar Capital, Mr. Mohammad held the title of Senior Analyst at Al-Mal Investment Company for more than two years. Prior to that, Mr. Mohammad was Assistant Deputy Director at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. Mr. Mohammad has over 15 years experience in developing computerized systems, equity research and risk analysis. Recently, Mr. Mohammad developed a trading decision support system for Kuwait Stock Exchange and built a database of companies’ for further fundamental research. Mr. Mohammad obtained his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Florida and his MBA from Maastricht University.
Cem Yolcu, CFA - Stragey and Planing Advisor: Cem has 14 years of senior management, management consulting and financial services experience accumulated in top tier companies of each respective industry. Most recently he has been the Group Strategy and Planning Director of Zain Group where he was responsible for development of corporate strategy and business planning. Prior to joining Zain Group, he was a senior consultant with Accenture working in Turkey, Italy, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, for telecommunications companies ranging from fixed line operators, ISPs, digital TV operators, and mobile operators. Prior to that, he was working at Fortis Bank in Turkey responsible for the off-shore subsidiaries. Jack Hakimian - Stragey and Planing Advisor: Jack Hakimian is a business strategy specialist with over 17 years of experience in diverse industries, including Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Energy, and Utilities. He was Director of corporate strategy at Zain Group Holding, a leading force in mobile telecommunications with close to 40 Million customers in the Middle East. Zain’s geographic footprint previously covered 15 countries in Africa. Hayder Tawfik - Wealth Management Senior Advisor: Prior to his tenure at Senyar Capital, Mr. Hayder held the title of Head of Asset Management at Al-Mal Investment Company for about two years. Prior to joining Al-Mal he worked in funds management at The United Bank of Kuwait in London from 1982 until 1999, where as part of the investment team he managed global equities, fixed income securities and convertible bonds for institutional and private clients. In 1999, he joined HSBC Asset Management as a Senior Investment Manager as part of a team of three persons with responsibility for global equities. Also while at HSBC Asset Management, he managed the HSBC Prime Global Convertible Fund. As an extension of his global experience in the financial markets and with institutional clients, he joined WMG Advisors in 2007 managing a hedge fund on behalf of clients. During his employment in the United Kingdom, Mr. Hayder was a registered member with their Financial Services Authority. Mr. Hayder has a degree in business studies and management from Merton College, UK.
Sherifa H. Marafi (MBA) - Investment Banking Advisor: has ten years of progressive experience in the financial services sector with a focus on industrial projects supported by an MBA in Finance and BSc. in Mechanical Engineering. For the first eight years of her career at The Industrial Bank of Kuwait, she led financial studies and monitored the implementation of various Kuwait based projects across several sectors. In 1994 Mr. Ziad joined HSBC Bank Middle East as part of the Custody and Clearing department. Then in 1997 Mr. Ziad became the Investment Banking Manager at HSBC Financial Services Middle East. Prior to that Mr. Ziad worked at AREF Investment Company in Kuwait then at the Housing Bank in Jordan.
